This past weekend, I made my way to Decatur to visit the Princess Theatre. One of my longtime clients was performing and I wanted to show my support as well as have an evening out. It was my first time visiting the historical theatre since the restoration and I loved it! As I walked towards the theatre, I was hit with the sight of hundreds of brightly glowing bulbs adorning the building and the buttery aroma of fresh popcorn. We purchased our tickets, snacks, and drinks, and made our way through the double-doors. It was such a wonderful experience! I love supporting the local arts, and watching one of my clients perform was such a treat!
The Princess Theatre—-isn’t it magical?!
Below: My beautiful client Laura!! I’ll be shooting a 6 month session with her daughter Alaina in a few weeks! Isn’t she stunning? Her voice is incredible!
Shall We Dance? (One of my favorite songs of the show!)
Applause for the super-talented cast! What a lovely show 🙂
Laura and I after the show! 🙂
Gorgeous! The pictures, the theatre, the set, the actors: all beautiful!
What a great local performance. I also love how the theater was accommodating to both men and women by their sign reading prince and princess theater ;). I really love the picture of Anna and the King dancing. Great job.
Jessica: what a wonderful set of photographs! And yes, I agree: Laura has an extraordinarily beautiful voice. I am so glad you were able to see the show, we were very proud of the production. Your pictures does it a most appropriate justice. Thanks again!
P.S. And yes, I too love the “Shall We Dance” sequence.
P.P.S. And I, too, have been contemplating organizing my library along the lines of Dewey. I confess that I’ve actually bought more than one volume more than once, due to disorganized behavior in library of dying king 🙂 .
