Keeping Motivated: Client thank-you cards

I’m a little bit of a hoarder. Oh, no. Not the scary, reality-tv-show kind. The kind that keeps notes from 7th grade on. From every friend, every boyfriend, every person…ever. Call me sentimental, I just can’t seem to toss a handwritten piece of paper with nice words made just for me.

I love it.

Letters, notes, cards—today’s society is so full of texts, emails, and Facebook messages that I’ve begun to romanticize the notion of actually getting personal mail. And so when a client sends me a card, letter, or little something in the mail—I treasure it. I keep it for days when I’m tired, or sick, or need a little inspiration. And it motivates me to be better.

  1. Tarra says:

I love your client thank you cards!! It’s neat to see the different handwriting and imagine all the different people who you’ve worked with. 🙂

  2. Candace says:

    Nice! I’m the same way!

  3. Laura Kee says:

    Awww…. That’s so sweet!

  4. Savannah says:

I love getting/sending thank you cards. They are such a great way to express how you feel!

  5. Kyle Demeester says:

Thank you cards can be so thoughtful and make someone feel so important. Why not make someone’s day. As for keeping them since the 7th grade…well…especially as a phtographer…hope you have a room desingated for them!
