Jennie and Jason’s Mammoth Lakes wedding was one for the books. This was my first time visiting the beautiful mountain town, and I was immediately taken with my surroundings. The air was cool, the lakes a deep emerald green, and tall pines flanked the winding roads. Driving into town, I was met with the Mammoth Lakes welcome sign bearing a John Muir quote—-“The mountains are calling.” I couldn’t agree more.

 

The day began at The Village Lodge. Jennie and her bridesmaids got ready, and toasted the upcoming marriage with champagne.

I loved the colors Jennie + Jason chose for the bridal party—-the navy suits worked so well with the girls’ richly colored bouquets!

And SERIOUSLY—I can’t handle the gorgeousness of those flowers. Mums N’ Roses did such an incredible job! I also loved the beautiful/personal touches Jennie added throughout the day. The ribbon around her bouquet—it’s a piece of her great-grandmother’s wedding dress. Perfection.

I loved the signs leading the way to the ceremony site.

If the location wasn’t already amazing enough, Jennie + Jason’s ceremony was held at the Forest Chapel in Tamarack Lodge. (Doesn’t that name sound magical?!) A floral covered arbor sat at the base of the mountain surrounded by towering green pine trees. It was breathtaking.

I may or may not have paddled into the center of the lake on a canoe for this post-ceremony wedding guest photo—-WORTH IT.

Once we finished up our afternoon photos, we headed over to their reception at The Mill.
