The day began with one of my favorite drives—past the state line, over rolling hills, and to the beautiful Sacred Stone for Rachel and Tyler’s wedding. I love the changing terrainalong the way, the white house that greets me from the corner of Hawthorne Lane, and the stone wall that flanks the graveled road to the venue.
I had been looking forward to this day for a while. Not only do we ALMOST share a wedding date (I’m 10/16/15 and they were 10/15/16), but these two have a way of being dreamy/romantic and forgetting about the camera. Their engagement session was SO much fun, I knew the wedding was going to be incredible!
Once I arrived, I joined the ladies upstairs to start photographing all the beautiful details of the day. Rachel and Tyler designed, printed, and embossed the programs and invitations themselves. Aren’t they beautiful?
Rachel made each of the bridesmaids a personalized hanger for their dresses AND gifted them with matching robes. (DIY rockstar!)
Once Tyler arrived, we met at the end of the long driveway for their First Look. I can’t fully express how incredible it was to share in this moment with them. These two are high-school sweethearts and share a beautiful, tender, giddy love that makes my heart happy.
The bouquets were so creative and fun! I loved that they had a soft pastel feel, but still included punches of color and texture—and the ribbon cascades had me swooning! Lisa did such a beautiful job on them.
A hand-painted sign led guests towards a small meadow clearing. The ceremony was set with a floral arbor, rows of white pews, and a dusting of flower petals along the grass. The surrounding trees gave a sense of intimacy to the outdoor space, and as Rachel made her way down the hill towards Tyler, it was obvious the two only had eyes for one another.
These vows got me. I cried you guys, I really did. (And I’m not ashamed to admit it, because I’m pretty sure everyone there did too.)
This is probably one of my favorite interior setups at Sacred Stone. It was such an incredible utilization of space! In addition to beautifully set tables, there was a quirky photo-booth, and a full-service Piper & Leaf tea bar (YES PLEASE—-Front Porch Special is my jam.)
These two were kind enough to let me steal them away for some sunset photos. I’m SO grateful they did because this is my favorite portrait time in the day—the soft, glowy light was just incredible!
